it is so hard to reconnect with people, especially when the other half isnt putting any effort into it. it's just you trying to make the friendship work again and they dont even realize how much you're trying. i know things have changed, but it could go back to the way it was before couldnt it? maybe not exactly the same.. but you get what i mean. i dont see how anyone can just throw away a good friendship without giving it a good fight.
